When the surprise you coming out of the shower (this was in Brisbane too) it can be a bit of a shock, :P

Brrrrr I bet... I am glad we don't have these critters here. Although I once had a centipede crawl out when carrying firewood and that was about as long as my lower arm. So there are some creepies here as well...

THE BEAST WAS THERE AGAIN, lurking in the shadows, waiting to STRIKE when I was collecting my dry clothes before the rain. Right beside one of my shirts.

It was the size of my pinky's nail and the fact that such a small being can give me the beejezus is very disturbing and a bit shameful.
